Commissions
Painting is amazing, but I won't lie, sometimes it's challenging to come up with ideas for new paintings. So, when I have commissioned work, WOW I get so excited because I can focus solely on bringing your ideas to life! If you're here, it's because you have something in mind and need my help to make it happen. I'm all ears.
FYI: I use professional oil paints for my commissions. I Use colored underpainting. (This color varies depending on the painting's color scheme and my mood). I paint in layers, meaning I add one layer of paint, let it dry, and repeat the process until completion. This method allows me to capture many more details, and I love the results.
Commission Process
1. Share Your Ideas: Contact me below with your commission ideas and your personal information.
2. Review and Recommendations: Once I receive your information, I'll review it carefully and provide the canvas size and pricing I offer so you can choose the option that best suits your vision. I'll also share my availability for the upcoming months. If you're in a hurry, let me know, and I'll do my best to accommodate your timeline.
3. Pricing: The price range for an oil painting commission can vary based on several factors including the size of the artwork, the complexity of the subject matter, and the level of time and materials required. Generally, larger paintings require more time and materials, resulting in a higher cost compared to smaller or less detailed pieces. At this time, all commission rates will start at a base of $500 USD.
4. Agreement and Deposit: Once terms of the commission are agreed upon, a contract will be signed to formalize the arrangement and begin the painting process. A 50% deposit of the total price is required to secure your commission.
5. Let the Magic Begin: Now it's time for the magic to unfold! I'll block off dedicated hours in my studio to work exclusively on your painting. Throughout the process, I'll keep you updated with progress shots and seek your feedback. Your opinion matters, and I want you to love the final result.
5. Finishing Touches: Once the painting is complete, I'll let it dry for at least 3 weeks to ensure it's perfect. Then, I'll carefully package it with a certificate of authenticity, and write a personalized note for you, and share my favorite part of creating your commission.
6. Delivery: Finally, your masterpiece is ready to make its way to you! Sit back, relax, and anticipate the arrival of your unique artwork.
